Who we are
We are a husband-and-wife CPA team with a shared professional background and decades of experience. Before launching Southern Tax Partners, we built and operated a successful mid-sized CPA firm that served a broad range of clients and offered a wide array of services. We ultimately sold that firm to intentionally create a smaller practice—one focused on the work we do best and the clients we serve best.
We do not pursue high-volume work or large client accounts. Instead, we believe our greatest value is realized by working closely with a limited number of clients on matters that are complex, nuanced, and often underserved. This includes sophisticated tax planning and compliance, rollover business start-ups (ROBS), IRS and state controversy matters, business advisory and valuation services, and advisory services for CPA firms.
We bring a collaborative and disciplined approach to our work, along with a shared commitment to doing the right thing—and doing it well.
“We find the greatest satisfaction in helping clients who need our help and are not getting the help they need from traditional a CPA firm or other sources. While we cannot solve all problems, sometimes our experience and resourcefulness provide us with an edge in finding a solution. Being able to help others is why we continue to do what we do.” – Laurie and Randy
